Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association
An organization established in 1940, serving professional landowners, resource managers, loggers, truckers and converting facilities, while promoting public understanding that our Lake States Forests are an important sustainable source or natural resources.
TPA is involved with many programs that create and maintain public goodwill and understanding. Log A Load For Kids is just one of the many subjects. Other programs include, the highly rated TPA Magazine, and in it's 61st year, the Lake States Logging Congress, scholarships, lobbyists for state and federal legislative issues, and being your voice at meetings with US Forest Service and the DNR.
This non-profit association is proud to represent the hard working people that we call members. There is strength in numbers. With your help, we can make a difference.
The Forest Resource Association (formerly known as APA-American Pulpwood Association) is the national sponsor. The Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association is the sponsor for both states.

Managing Our Forests,
We Ensure Their Future
Through Log A Load For Kids we can use our renewable resource - our trees, to insure the future of our most precious resource, our children!
Log A Load For Kids which is sponsored by the Great Lakes Timber Professionals Association , is part of the Children's Miracle Network (CMN), a non-profit organization committed to helping sick and injured children of all ages, regardless of their affliction or their ability to pay. The Children's Miracle Network sponsors 170 hospitals nationwide. Log A Load For Kids is the only program where you can choose which hospital the funds can go to. Usually this is determined by territory.
Log A Load For Kids started in 1988 in South Carolina and came to Lake States in 1996. Loggers from all over the country donate the value of one load of "logs", or any amount they can, to help make hospital stays easier for sick or injured children.
When you make a donation to Log A Load For Kids, 100% of your tax deductible donation goes to the participating CMN hospital of your choice.
